UP there with a meeting of world leaders, fashion's two leading men are set to put their differences aside in the name of charity. Bernard Arnault.
The man behind LVMH - which controls labels including Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Moet Hennessey and Marc Jacobs - will host a charity dinner with François Pinault of PPR - which owns Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Balenciaga.
There has reportedly been no love lost between the French-born pair in the past, but the event - the first occasion they have been billed alongside one another - marks a new stage in their thawing relations.
Pinault's actress wife Salma Hayek will be on hand to greet the guests alongside her husband. Arnault's wife will also be in attendance.
The event is under the patronage of former French President Jacques Chirac and his wife Bernadette, and will benefit French charity Maison de Solenn, which helps troubled adolescents.
