Salma Hayek Drops Out of Faster

Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Salma Hayek has dropped out of CBS Films' Faster just a week before shooting was set to begin February 8th. The filmmakers plan to recast the role immediately.
The George Tillman Jr.-directed drama was written by Tony and Joe Gayton, and stars Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Maggie Grace, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Moon Bloodgood.
Faster is set to open in theaters November 10, 2010.Johnson will play an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a heist.
