Salma Hayek leaves the Dwayne Johnson and Maggie Grace film Faster

It’s not often you have an action movie with a star-studded cast, but such is the case with the upcoming film FASTER. The George Tillman Jr. film already stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Maggie Grace, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Moon Bloodgood. It used to star Salma Hayek, but she had to drop out due to “scheduling conflicts”. In the film, Johnson plays a man seeking revenge for the death of his brother.
So, “scheduling conflicts” came up a week before shooting was supposed to start, even though she’s been linked to the film for almost three months now? I don’t think we have to know all of the dirt when it comes to Hollywood films, but something better than “scheduling conflicts” would be nice. What about “Salma dropped out because she finally took the time to read the script and realized it was embarrassingly bad and didn’t want any part of it?” Now that would be a good headline.
