Salma Hayek act in Alex de la Iglesia Film: Mexican actress Salma Hayek is the star of the new film by moviemaker and president of the Film Academy of Spain, Alex de la Iglesia, for which shooting starts Monday and will continue for six weeks.

Willy Toledo, Javier Gutierrez, Jose Mota, Juan Luis Galiardo and Santiago Segura complete the cast of “La Chispa de la Vida” (The Spark of Life) to be filmed in Madrid and Cartagena, publicists Dypcomunicacion said in a press release.
The film tells the story of Roberto, an out-of-work advertising man, creator of the slogan “la chispa de la vida” for the soft-drink brand Coca-Cola, who is rebuffed by every agency where he applies for a job. But everything changes when he suffers an accident that has him hanging between life and death.
De la Iglesia’s last picture, “Balada Triste de Trompeta” (The Last Circus) won prizes for best director and best screenplay at the last edition of the Venice Film Festival. The movie is also a heavy favorite for Spanish cinema’s Goya prizes. It is nominated in 15 categories, including best film, best director and best original screenplay.
